problems with posting picts

is anyone else having this problem. Please Help. I go to put a pict in the post and it comes up with all this text when I publish it looks fine but I can't really add text in between because when I go back to edit it still has all this text instead of picts.

santa picts

We had a fun Christmas part with Christian's work. We had great food and got to see Santa. Their Santa does some fun stuff. We call it a little improv. That way the parents can enjoy themselves too. And then Santa has presents for each of the kids.

missing

Missing 1 tooth. Brenten had his first loose tooth. I think he was nervous to tell me about it because by the time he said anything it was barely hanging on. He did NOT want us pulling it out so I was trying to be good even though I knew it would come out so easily. The other night he was wiggling it and it fell out. He was so excited. He ran in to show me then threw it in the garbage without thinking. When he realized what he had done he started digging through the garbage to find it "or else the tooth fairy wouldn't come". That night I took him his tooth in a ziplock to put under his pillow. He didn't say anything for a second. Then he looked at me and said "it's coming in my room" I think he was a little creeped out that a fairy was going to be in his room while he slept. He got over it quickly when he found his dollar. Oh I love this boy. and I think he is pretty cute with one tooth missing.

Cait at 9 months

Cait went in for her 9 months well check the other day. She is 20lbs and really tall. I don't remember but she is in the 51% in weight and 91st in height. She was given the go ahead to turn her car seat around. I love when they first get to face forward. They get so excited. She has 6 teeth and will bite anything or anyone. (watch out). She is very smiley but doesn't laugh. She has a very low chuckle. Very cute but doesn't seem like it would come from her. She loves the boys. And when they go outside she likes to sit by the window and watch them. I think the boys like it too because they will come up to the window and talk to her. She pulled herself up to standing today for the first time. She has crawled maybe two crawls. She has really mastered the butt scoot. My kids have never really done that before. And she can get to a sitting position on her own. She loves loves food. Food of any kind. Really she is a pretty easy baby and has a great temperament. I can't wait to see what she learns next month.

I have a 6 year old

I know I am plenty old to have a 6 year old but I really can't believe this much time has passed. He is my sweet boy. We have so much fun. The top pick if him building stuff with his new birthday presents. He is so good at legos, knex and any other toy where he can build or put things together. Sometimes he has to show me how it is done. And if it is a little hard Christian will show him once and then he will have it down. The bottom one is of the cake I made this year. My kitchen was so warm the frosting was melting a little but thats okay. Brenten loved it.

Getting in Shape

A few people are asking what I am doing to lose my baby weight. Well it sounds simple. I actually have to work pretty hard at it. I count my calories and I working out is a total priority in my life right now. I still have a ways to go to get where I want to be but that all takes time.

I am actually starting to do some training on the side. I graduated in Athletic Training at BYU and have worked with a variety of people; from athletes to older people to people with injuries. If anyone is interested, I am coming into peoples homes and helping them with their fitness goals. The plus is I do this in their homes and use as little or as much equipment as they have.

Weight Goals

So a week before Cait turned 9 months I reached my pre-Cait weight. I was so excited. It usually takes me over a year. I was excited but now I am just motivated. I have another 10 to get to my pre-Landon weight. So I have a lot of work to do. Wish me luck. Please feel free to check up on me so that I can continue to feel motivated.

Halloween party

We had a fun halloween party. They wrapped each other up like mummys, had a pinata, made carmel apples after they bobbed for them, painted pumpkins and had a donut eating contest. The kids were great and so fun to be with. HAPPY HALLOWEEN

brenten cracks me up.

okay I put this on facebook already but it was funny. Brenten was sitting on the toilet and I walked by and he said:

I must have swallowed a mosquito because it really hurts when I go stink.

I really didn't know what to say to this so I just said "Oh really"

Relationships

This has been something I have been thinking about a lot lately. So sorry, you don't get kid picts today. Instead you get me venting. Maybe it is that I am a little high on meds because I have another kidney stone or I am extra sensitive these days. I don't know but good luck understanding this post. There have been some things going on with people that I am very close to. I know these things happen all the time and that crap just seems to happens. Unfortunately, just living right and being good people doesn't make us exempt. All sorts of variations and different situations of crap. Some of which are things we could have prevented, and some that we have zero control over. What it leaves me thinking is life here is short and we never know what will happen and how long we get to be here on earth. What I do know is those who leave us get to go on with their family members who have passed on before and can be happy. What I hate more than anything is regret. It makes me think of how my relationships are. How have I made those lives around me any better? Do they know that I love them? Especially those in my family. I love my family. I know my kids and husband know I love them. But I don't know if my brothers and sisters know how much I think of them and worry about them. I am not near as close as I would like to be. My excuses have always been that we have our own lives and everyone just gets busy. But what it comes down to, is that if one of them were to leave this earth today how much I would regret not trying harder to build our relationships. I can't say that I have made their lives better and that is all on me. So going against all my "Sawyer ways" (for those of you who don't know...."it is the bottle it up and bury it down deep" way), I am going to try harder. For those of you who check my blog, I love you and I pray for you all the time. I hope you are all happy and expect lots of phone calls and emails and other ways I can bug you because I want to get to know you all better.

ps percocets are great for pain but they give me some crazy dreams. Anyway sorry for the midnight venting.

Suckers

Brenten told me on the way home today that Cait needed some sucker. She definitely loves them. And it gave her a cute blue tongue.

McDonalds

I don't know why I take pictures of times when I am not paying attention. Now there is proof of me being a bad mom. Anyway, I turned around and Cait had demolished the McDonalds bag, found the french fries and then started to eating them as fast as she could. Almost like she knew they were going to be taken away. She loved them. It is cute to watch her eat them too.

One would think that she wants to crawl but no she just doesn't want to be on her stomach. No matter her motivation maybe one of these she will mobile. I'm not holding my breath. That's okay. I am just counting the days until I can no longer work on a project while she is awake.

Catch up

This is pretty much everything we have been up to. Brenten has been playing a lot of soccer school and playing with is brother and sister. Cait is getting bigger and loves to stand up by the couch and Dad thinks that she wants Dr.Pepper. My niece, Jessica, moved in with us and it has been so fun to have her here.

Conversations with Landon

This is more for me than for any readers. I just don't want to forget these awesome conversations with my favorite 3 year old.

Landon was blowing out a dandelion today. And our neighbor girl told him to make a wish first. I asked him after what he wished for and he said for all the things to blow off the flower and I got my wish.

Landon was having a rough morning. He wanted his usual cereal but I have no cereal or milk or bread or anything else to make something for breakfast. But I did have some fresh peaches so that is what they were having. Brenten was excited. Landon not so much. He told me he hates that breakfast and that he wouldn't eat it. (not really an option at my house) So I told him he had to try a bite. He was showing his stubbornness and was refusing. I told him to do time out until he was ready to listen. He sat in time out, and sat there and sat there. Finally he came out and said he was ready to try. He took the bite and make a face like he was going to throw up. I think it was the worst face he could come up with. At the end of the bite he very grumpily said I guess I like it and will eat it. He sat very pleasantly eating and then he was grumpy again and said I want another one please. and then ate it too. He just had to act like he wasn't happy about it. He is so my kid.

Then at nap time he wasn't quite ready. He wanted to play one more game and because I had already done 2 more games I said no and that it was nap time. Cute Landon looked at me and said fine I will pee on the bed then. (Ironically, it was one of the first times he didn't pee during nap time.)

American Fork Canyon

We went up AF Canyon Monday night. Christian and his buddy Matt were going climbing and the kids and I decided to crash their fun. We watched them climb for a little bit, had a picnic and then went and played by the water. They had these big rocks Cait and I sat on and they boys had their tractors and shovels to play in the rocks and dirt. Of course, most of the rocks went in the water.

Cait enjoying herself. She is such a mess. She is constantly drooling so nothing is ever dry or clean

Me and baby Cait.

My boys enjoying the freedom to get dirty. They are so happy when they are playing outside.

soccer...I mean bunch ball

I just had to get in a video. This is so funny. Brenten holds his own better than I thought. He is so laid back that I didn't know if he would get in there and be aggressive. Apparently I need to work on my camera skills. I looked up and forgot what I was doing. If you would have seen the end of the clip Brenten got the ball back and almost made a goal until one of his teammates took the ball away. Gotta love Bunch Ball. Go number 7. Brenten is happy to tell that they are 2-0.

kindergarten

Brenten's first day of school. He was so excited. He was busy getting ready all morning. He was outside with his backpack, bike and helmet an hour early. I had to keep telling him it was going to be a while but he didn't care. when he got home on his first day he told me all about it. And he said he got to go back tomorrow. Good news for me.
Christian says that I only write the "punk" things he does. So here is a taste of the sweet things he does for me. He knew I would have a hard day (I did better than expected) so he sent me flowers. It has been a very very long times since he has sent flowers. It was so cute and unexpected. Love you babe.

6 months old

Baby Cait is 6 months. The time has really flown by. She is doing great. She is such an easy baby. She went to her well visit and she was 18lb (85%) and 27 in (95%). I know that she is getting heavier but she doesn't really seem that big to me. Maybe it is because Brenten and Landon are always hovering over her and they look huge next to her.

She is eating rice cereal and various veggies. She loves the puffed cereal. If anyone else is eating and she isn't she will stare us down and cry. Pretty funny really. But really I don't blame her, those smashed up peas look terrible. She rolls and scoots around the floor on her back. She is sitting up kind of. She does well until she gets distracted and then tips over. She jibber jabbers like crazy. the boys are certain she says hi.

She loves to sit in front of her basket of toys. She can be content there for so long. I love it.
